Aneesa & Matthew
“It was a morning like other mornings and yet perfect among mornings.” – John Steinbeck
Aneesa and Matthew have a deep connection with Penn State and the State College area. They share similar walks to class on campus. Attending the same school, sharing the same sidewalks, and yet, not always realizing they may have passed each other on those morning walks to class.
In a sea of some sixty thousand people, walking in and out of the same buildings, and cheering for the same football team on home game Saturday’s, Aneesa and Matthew never crossed paths on campus. It wasn’t until they worked at Delgrosso’s Amusement Park and Laguna Splash one summer where they finally met and connected.
This story, like so many others, including my own reminds us how big the world is, and yet how small. How many times have you walked by the love of your life on the sidewalk, sat next to them in class or in a coffee shop, and never realized it? Those small moments can seem insignificant, but could be life-changing.
