I fell in love with film photography a long time ago. To me, it is the most honest form a photographer can give you. Ever since Avery was a baby, I have taken a photo of her on her birthday. In August 2019, she turned 6. I didn’t want to do another regular photo session, so I decided to capture her 6-year milestone entirely on film. Something I have always felt is that the location does not matter. Avery and I drove up the road from our house, and I pulled off the road and we walked back into the woods. We found a wide-open space with beautiful lighting, absolutely perfect for the look I wanted. We only spent about 20 minutes here as the mosquitoes got to be too bad! However, the colors and her expressions were absolutely beautiful!
Special thanks to Richard Photo Lab for these beautiful scans <3
