Scotch Valley Country Club Wedding | Hollidaysburg, Pa

This Scotch Valley Country Club Wedding was beautiful!Kaylene and Mark’s wedding was classy and fun! Located in the hills of Hollidaysburg, Pa, this venue is picture perfect.

We met Kaylene at her parents home in Hollidaysburg. I always love the personal touch shooting inside a childhood home adds to preparation photos. I also found out that Kaylene’s dad knows my husband from working in the vendor business. How cool is that?!

Mark watched Kaylene walking down the aisle with tears in his eyes. St. Rose of Lima church has a personal meaning to me, our daughter went to school there. Getting to shoot a wedding there was emotional and unforgettable.

We shot the bridal party and bride and groom at various locations in Altoona. We had plenty of time for these pictures. I can not stress this to you enough. If you want to make the most of your wedding day photography, you must allow plenty of time. Kaylene and Mark have epic photos because they heeded my advice on the wedding timeline.

DJ Cashous of Mint DJ Events kept the party going all night long. In fact, the dance floor was rocking so hard that the bride and groom nixed all of the cliche wedding events such as: the bouquet toss, garter pull and shot dance. “Just keep doing what you’re doing.” – Kaylene

It started pouring outside, and I had conceptualized this shot I wanted to try for such a long time. All I had to do is get the bride and groom to agree to go out with me and my assistant in the pouring rain. Piece of cake! They trusted me, and that means so much to me. The night shot in the rain is something that happens once in blue moon. This shot was shot specifically for black and white, and it couldn’t have turned out more perfect.
