Adrianna and Cedric captivated me with their charm from the moment we first met. I never met them before their engagement session, which is always exhilarating!
I arrived in Houtzdale, Pa with my associate, Aary to this charming house in the middle of the smallest town on the planet. If you are not from Central, Pa, you will just have to trust me. Adrianna was getting ready at her parent’s house. It was a foggy, rainy morning, every bride’s worst nightmare.
Adrianna walked us across the driveway to a loft apartment, where she and Cedric had been living. I loved the idea of shooting the detail shots in the window, with her parent’s house in the background. We debated on whether or not to do the first-look or to completely change course. Adrianna did a first-look with her dad in the loft, which was full of tears and emotion. He raised the bar for every father-daughter first look out there. He was crying, genuinely. He told her she is absolutely stunning, and that Cedric was a lucky guy. He said “you take my breath away.” YES! He really did say all of that!
I knew how much it meant to Adrianna to see Cedric, so, we started praying. God held the skies just long enough for us to do a first look out in the church. Adrianna and Cedric got to have their first look.
After the ceremony, we headed to Altoona, and we shot the bridal party at Baker Mansion. The rain was misty, but it held out. I knew from the engagement session that the bride and groom love Chick Fil-A so I suggested that since we had built in extra time to the timeline, we make a pit-stop before the reception! The staff at the Altoona store gave them a warm welcome with clapping and cheers!
That was the highlight of the day for me, and there is an awesome TikTok of it on my account @kimwrightpix lol! Enjoy!
The final detail that I think made this wedding extra special was something Cedric had arranged for Adrianna at the reception. Since the two met in high school, he had a picture framed of every dance they have ever been to throughout their years together. He then had a corsage or bouquet recreated and sat with each photograph. That was indeed, something truly special.
