DenElaine Springs Farm Wedding | Morgan + Casey
The beautiful DenElaine Springs Farm Wedding Venue was built for my bride by her parents, you don’t get much better than that. This rustic venue is nestled on the outskirts of Tyrone, PA and only 25 minutes from State College, PA and was the perfect backdrop for Morgan and Casey’s wedding.
When I did Morgan and Casey’s engagement session, they wore boots and got in a river for me. We also hung out on the porch of an abandoned house together in a rain storm. I knew from that day on that they would hold a special place in my heart. They are the kind of folks that I grew up with, and made unforgettable childhood memories with. The kind of people who like to laugh, smile and joke and who don’t take life too serious. The kind of people who don’t judge you for what you say or what you wear. You know, those once in a lifetime kind of people?
Morgan told me about her family building this venue for her wedding to make her dreams come true. We have had a horridly rainy summer in Pennsylvania. It poured two days before Morgan’s wedding, but thanks to an amazing family, awesome photographers (hi!) and awesome wedding coordinator (shoutout to Bethany Cowher you rock!) I think that Morgan’s vision of her wedding day met and exceeded her expectations!
Call me old fashioned but I love front porches. There is something about them that feels like home to me. When I arrived and saw that her families home had a stunning wrap around porch, I knew I had to photograph it. From the handmade decor to the handmade barn, Morgan and Casey’s wedding is the perfect example of Country Chic. Any wedding that I can wear jeans and boots to is a wedding among friends. I believe in looking professional, and classy so excuse my rain boots, tall socks and jeans. The mud came up passed my ankles, desperate times, desperate measures!
I must say I have NEVER seen an entrance quite like this! The groom and the entire groomsmen party arrived on motocross bikes. This is fitting. They all ride professionally!
However, what separates a good photographer from a great photographer is the eye for detail. There is no mud, and no mess. Do these pictures look like they were shot by someone rocking muddy rain boots? No! Would you have known that I was a muddy mess had I not told you? No!
Location is not an excuse. Every location is stunning if you have the right photographers. I love the reality of this place, this couple and their images. One of my favorite things about my home is looking around at all of the remodeling my husband has done. The floor boards beneath my feet were laid by his hands. That is something truly special. This venue has that quality.
EVERYTHING IS PERSONAL…
I sincerely hope that you enjoy looking through some of my favorite images from Morgan and Casey’s wedding day. We sure did have an amazing, once in a lifetime opportunity to capture the most personal of weddings I have ever had the pleasure of photographing.
And….since I never do this, enjoy some behind the scenes moments!
