Brittney + Michael
Toftrees Golf Resort Wedding | State College, PA
Last year when we did Brittney and Michael’s wedding, I didn’t get to do a blog post on it. This is a great example of an outdoor ceremony in full sun. From the moment we arrived at Toftrees Golf Resort to capture Brittney and Michael’s wedding, we were treated like we were family.
I love walking into the room where the bride is getting dressed and just take a minute to appreciate all of the emotion in the room. Her mom was beautiful, dressed in a gorgeous purple gown and filled with joy. I must say, this wedding was truly beautiful because of the beautiful souls that were getting married.
I don’t know if I have ever truly seen a bride with such joy in her eyes on her wedding day. Brittney cried, a lot, but the tears were thankful, hopeful and overjoyed. I will never forget the way her and Michael looked at each other, or the way they treated us like they’ve known us forever.
Their wedding was in the side courtyard, with beautiful views of the golf course and large pine trees. It was SO HOT! They remembered to have ice water out for all of their guests and vendors, and it was a life saver!
When we moved into the ballroom for the reception, it was a much appreciated relief from the heat! This wedding is memorable to me because of how spectacular we were treated. I know I keep repeating that, but we have been to weddings where the bride literally didn’t want to feed us, or our table was stuck in the basement.
So when a bride like Brittney comes along and treats us with such manners and class, it leaves a lasting impression, and high standards for the future 🙂
Please enjoy scrolling through some of my favorite images from their beautiful wedding day!
A piece of her grandmother’s wedding dress was sewn into her wedding dress <3
Hands down my favorite image from the ceremony, the bride kisses her dad before she walks away with her groom.
I just love large family photos <3
And….large bridal parties!
