Cheyenne and Logan’s State College, PA Engagement session was shot 100% with film. I absolutely love the way it looks. From the colors to the grain and everything in between.

There is no room for error with film and you can’t fake it. That is why I love it so much. Either you are a fantastic photographer, or you just aren’t. You can’t check your photo on the back of a digital screen to see if you have totally ruined your shot. You are shooting blind. Literally. So you MUST know exactly what you are doing. To me this format separates photographers from amateur to professional. Anyone can pick up a digital camera and get a picture to turn out right. Not everyone can pick up a film camera and have an image turn out right. 

I loved this session SO MUCH. Cheyenne was so confident that these would turn out, and I am so grateful for clients who trust me completely. We had an amazing time romping through the woods. Would you ever know that there was no color or trees with leaves on them with beautiful images like this? Honestly, it doesn’t matter what time of year you shoot. Create beauty everywhere, there is always a way.
